Is responsible for the overseeing of the ISO 9000 compliant Quality System, its development, maintenance, and continuous improvement from a project, and initiative standpoint. Serves as the primary coordinator in marshalling resources for the plant to attain its stated Quality Objectives. Provides quality monitoring and reporting services for Corporate management and other personnel requiring data QS/TS system. Serves as primary contact and coordinator for ISO/TS initial certification/registration audit, and recurring surveillance audits.
Coordinates ISO internal audit program. Functions as Quality Representative for special project teams, auditing progress, and team progress against existing procedures such as Quality Planning Checklist, etc. Serves as coordinator for corrective action process for responses to customers both internal, and external.
Participates in the planning, development and transfer of new product of changes in parts, materials or processes.
Develops an annual Quality Dept. budget, and adheres to same or flex budgets.
Conducts and/or coordinates training for specific quality initiatives and programs as appropriate. Conducts supplier audits. Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and measuring the effectiveness of the quality system (inspection systems, policies and procedures, measurement and testing, corrective actions, internal audits). Interpretation of documentation like: Quality instructions, visual helps, procedures, engineering reports, etc.
Responsible for Statistical Techniques evaluation and implementation under ISO / TS guidelines. Responsible for ECO/overall document control function under ISO guidelines. Serves as a resource for development and enhancement of testing and inspection procedures and training for production and other personnel.

A Minimum of 7 years experience in a manufacturing environment in a high volume manufacturing maquiladora at Mexico as well as 3 yrs at a Managerial level implementing or utilizing an ISO 9000 / TS 16949. Experience in technical work environment (Quality Assurance, inspection, engineering-related, etc.)
Combination of work and educational experience that ensures technical, professional, and leadership skills to ensure continuous improvement of the Quality System.
2 years+ proven experience in leading, supervising a technical work group. Experience .
Experience in process manufacturing. ISO internal audit experience
Work experience where JIT, work cell environments are utilized.

Strong work experience in statistical techniques (SPC charting, trend tracking analysis), plus other techniques such as design of experiments, problem solving techniques (8D, others, TPS, Lean Mfg.) etc.
Computer competency: MS Office package a minimum. Project management software experience, or aptitude for learning a must.
BS degree or equivalent in engineering related field.
