Deliver products to customers on time with good quality.
Ensure products and assembly/test processes are designed for volume production.
Initiate and implement continuous improvements in production to minimize costs and cycle time but at the same time to maximize inspection/test yields.
Introduce new products into manufacturing with regard to the assembly process, test process, quality, material flow, etc.
Determine and drive to completion any and all manufacturing changes that improve quality, cost, lead time, cycle time, etc.
Evaluate products from the general manufacturing perspective; assembly process, DFM, testability, labor time and skill level, BOM(s), etc.
BS/MS or equivalent degree in Engineering (Electronic or equivalent)
At least 3 years working in a electronic manufacturing environment dealing with most of the following:
Engineering Change Orders and their implementation into the factory
Inspection of PCB and mechanical assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 2
Manufacturing process design and implementation
Elaboration of process flow, PFMEA, Control Plan and PPAP's
Incoming material discrepancy and MRB disposition
Project level coordination, with project scheduling experience
New product introductions into the factory and into the documentation system
Basic elements of ISO9001 as they pertain to the manufacturing environment
Must have significant PCB assembly experience - SMT and Wave Soldering, Manual Insertion and Hand Soldering, mechanical Assembly, Touch-up/Rework, etc.
Must read and understand mechanical drawings, assembly drawings and schematics
Must be able to write/evaluate standard manufacturing documents; test procedures, process instructions, packaging instructions, etc.
Able to speak effectively before managements, employees, outside service providers and Customers
Experience in DFM reviews of mechanical assembly processes and printed circuit assembly layouts
Experienced in ERP software (Macola preferred), PDM software (Agile preferred), AutoCAD and Gerber Viewer
Experience on IATF 16949 and/or ISO 13485 as they pertain to the manufacturing environment
Knowledge of ICT and general electronic test fixture design
Knowledge/experience with the test processes
