Plans and directs production line activities to manufacture quality goods on time and within cost targets of his assigned production line(s). Has a leadership responsibility among supervisors and provides closer support to Manufacturing Manager.
Coordinates production line activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, materials,machines and equipment.
Insures that all activities, processes and behaviors by his team, and himself (leading by example), follow companyprocedures, policies and bests practices.
Manages the associates under his charge, from planning the resources needed for the month welcoming new hires,training, developing, managing a safe environment, tracking performance, disciplinary actions and recognition.
Manages the resources under his charge: safeguarding equipment and tools.
Drives continuous improvement by systematically tracking, analyzing and sharing key metric trends with support groups (Safety, quality, service and cost).
Works closely with the assigned CFT or business team and follows the direction and priorities of the Program Manager (voice of the customer).
Manages the materials and work orders assigned to his area (closing jobs, cycle counts, scrap reporting, control, identification, storage, control of raw and finished goods materials etc.).
Provides exceptional support to customers, team members and stakeholders.
Demonstrates a commitment to customer service: anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems
quickly and effectively, making customers issues a priority.
Reports to Production Manager, but priorities and direction come from the Program Manager of the corresponding CFT.
Relies upon to provide mentorship and guidance to Supervisors and to take a leadership role when required.
Is able to take on additional projects or assignments while still managing their area
Is empowered to “stand his ground” on issues that are not in line with standard procedures or practices established by Manager.
Responsible to escalate these issues if not resolved through construct.
3-5 years Supervisory experience in manufacturing environment.
