Descripción y detalle de las actividades

Assist in analyzing list of raw material, purchased parts and equipment, planning and preparing production programs for the manufacturing of products follows up the master production plan by expediting operations needed in the manufacture of products.
• Actively work for continuous improvement together with other employees
• Do continuous quality checks on own work
• To continuously keep up and follow up a high delivery performance and low costs
• Assist in analyzing list of raw materials, purchased parts and equipment needed in the manufacture of industrial or consumer products
• Requires implementing established procedures
• Helps to schedule deliveries based on production forecast, market conditions, material substitutions, production line as well as storage and handling capacities
• Reviews material list for compliance to the company’s standard practices in regards to parts and material used
• Can help to prepare timely requisitions of raw material and parts to the purchasing department
• Expedites purchases that are delayed or in response to change in production plan
• Maintains the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the organization
• Standard work follow up
• Release purchase and manufacturing orders as per ERP recommendations
• Expedites operations that are delaying the program and changes programs according to unexpected conditions
• Prepares production reports
• Analysis and disposition of excess and obsolete materials
• Detailed follow up with customer service and distribution center
• Late report update in a daily basis
• Assure the on time payment to suppliers
• Purchase prices variances (PPV) analysis and monitoring

Experiencia y requisitos

• Bachelor's Degree
• Knowledge in planning, purchasing and production control
• Knowledge in Microsoft OFFICE, SAP, ORACLE, etc
• Required: Goals orientation, team work, work under pressure, communication skills, customer service oriented and solving problem skills
• Excel intermediate
• Analytical skills to develop procedures
• Desirable basic knowledge in APICS
• Inventory management
