Manages Staff and oversees multiple financial activities for the operations, which may include any combination of the following: Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, Forecasting, Accounting Consolidation Systems, Quoting Support, ERP systems, Inventory Control, Policies and Procedures and SOX controls.
Through subordinate personnel, plans, directs controls, coordinates and evaluates forecast for the organization
Understands overall business principles and the impact of an efficient Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis function to the organization’s financial results.
Manages Accounting Consolidation and Forecasting systems to asses and improve forecast accuracy
Participate in developing, implementing and utilizes the ERP system
Compiles and analyzes financial information to review entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
Responds to financial questions from managers, and interprets reports to managers
Analyze and explains variance in BOMs, Routings, Labor and Overhead
Support quotes preparations and reviews
May prepare Cost Accounting Journal Entries
May plan and schedule areas functions to ensure the prompt delivery of financial analysis and accurate and timely financial information, such as Cost variances, General Ledger variances, PPV, Backflush, Overhead Expenses, Obsolete Inventory, inventory turns.
May manage development of metrics to assess and improve inventory control and accuracy, ensures accurate inventory records
May develop and implement department standards, practices, procedures and policies
Responsible of documenting SOX internal control processes, assisting in remediation of control deficiencies, and coordinating and tracking the testing of internal controls related to Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis.
Public Accountant, BS/BA or equivalent
6+ years of relevant experience
Computer equipment Skills
TRESS system knowledge.
