Marketing Strategist

The Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for JAM Marketing and its businesses and brands within the organization, with the goal of attracting potential customers and retaining existing customers. The Marketing Strategist’s day-to-day tasks include pitching campaign ideas, copywriting, collaborating with creatives and communicating with all departments and stakeholders to implement compelling marketing strategies and ultimately increase the company’s bottom-line.
• Create advertising campaigns, marketing plans and public relations strategies under the direction of the Marketing Manager
• Pitch ideas for deals and promotions and assist in executing those ideas
• Provide copy and technical writing for any advertising campaigns or projects needed by the company
• Write blogs, eBooks, B2C emails, internal documents and advertisements
• Develop strategies for advertising through various channels including email, app push notifications and social media
• Coordinate marketing campaigns with Operations, Sales, Development and Customer Service departments
• Ensure paid marketing follows company’s advertising budgets
• Work with advertising agencies quickly and effectively to keep campaigns and projects moving forward aggressively
• Create and publish/distribute all marketing materials in line with marketing plans
• Manage and improve social media, customer retention platforms and ads on all channels
• Plan, prepare and execute digital and traditional marketing campaigns with assistance from the marketing staff
• Monitor and report the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
• Work closely with the photographer and designers to come up with creative campaigns
• Plan special events, including: Grand Openings, DJ nights, concerts, charity events, news events, etc.
• Ensure accuracy of marketing content
• Ensure the brand is represented to the highest standard on all channels and platforms
• Other duties as assigned

Experiencia y requisitos

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with the goal to attain excellence without direct supervision. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Intimate understanding of traditional, digital and emerging marketing channels
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively
• Budget-management skills and spreadsheeting proficiency
• Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges within the company and marketing landscape
• Working knowledge of trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, photography, videography (internal training and promotions), copywriting, production, etc.
• Ability to think logically, critically and work well under pressure
• Refined customer service and phone skills
• Knowledge of G Suite console
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
• Extensive ability to manage Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat ads
• Knowledge of CMS and CRMs
• Understanding of SEO implementation and strategies

1 to 3 years working experience in a related field
Bachelor or Master’s Degree
