•Manages the shift by providing coaching, performance reviews, and performance feedback to associates to ensure all goals of the plant are met (5'S, safety, waste, quality, and productivity, etc.)
•Demonstrated ability to lead the technical & personal development of individuals in a production team
•Ensures that the internal and external customer expectations are met and that Printpack Management System procedures are followed
•Supervise shift personnel in a manner that promotes a sense of fairness and high morale
•Control operating costs
•Perform job checkouts and make decisions regarding quality
•Oversee the entire department during the shift to ensure compliance to regulatory policies and maximize plant efficiencies
•Work closely with the production planning, manufacturing engineering and quality departments to identify and resolve issues that affect safety, quality, service, cost or morale on the production floor.
•Complete accurate, timely production reporting to provide good performance information.
•Maintain compliance, training and education requirements in all EHS, Quality Systems Regulation (ISO 13485)
•Take an active role in project improvement activities, (i.e., Lean and PE Initiatives, quality, cell development, new equipment start-ups, and new product launch production plans).
•Use sound root cause investigation to address quality and scrap issues and develop effective corrective actions for non-conformance issues identified by the quality system by working with production employees.
•Ensure containment of critical defects throughout shift.
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field
•From 2 up to 5 years of experience in this role.
•Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office products
•Available to work any shift
•ISO9001, ISO13485 or GMP manufacturing environment is (Preferred).
•ERP and Manufacturing Processing Systems (MPS), as well as lean manufacturing technologies (Highly Preferred).
•Project management, Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools, LEAN manufacturing, Training, and/or Certification (Preferred).
