The Controls Engineer will work with teams of engineers of varied disciplines to provide excellent client service, from the design concept stage through commissioning and job closeout.
Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Programming/integrating PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens,) and HMIs; creating Bills of Material (BOMs) of control system components; creating panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and design specifications.
Requires an understanding of electrical systems and their associated controls including a good understanding of LAN networks and process controls.
An exceptional team player to work and coordinate multiple departments, vendors and technicians to design, set up and perform system validation on equipment.
In our Machine Build facility, and at customer sites to verify proper system operation as defined by control sequences.
• Basic requirements include a bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronic engineering,(Master Degree in related field is a plus).
• A minimum of 3 years experience in the design/build/programming of PLC and data acquisition systems.
• Must be able to travel to customer facilities for design meetings, equipment installation supervision, and commissioning. (Travel both domestically and International ).
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks as well as a proven record of excellent client service is a must.
