Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversees inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements. Coordinate controls and containment of all suspect inventory as needed. Supports all proactive, defect prevention efforts for released products and as well as for new products, using tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, poka-yoke, and all other forms of process controls. Ensures effective auditing and inspections are in place to detect and prevent escape of any non-conformities. Point of contact for the coordination of all customer or potential customer audits at the plant. Use of statistical techniques to effectively monitor processes and taking actions to prevent defects before they happen. Collaborates with Corporate Quality to facilitate customer communication of actions to address quality issues and corresponding status of those actions. Collaborates with Corporate Quality to facilitate customer communication of quality actions for the launch of new products that meet customer quality expectations. Encourages teamwork, positive attitude, leadership, discipline and data-driven analysis and problem solving. Oversee Corrective/Preventative Action System: Manage the Corrective/Preventative Action Database Ensure overall effectiveness of Correction Action process Initiate internal or supplier corrective actions Follow up to ensure effective and timely closure Communicate findings and plans to internal and/or external customers Quality Management Representative: Respond to customer and supplier quality concerns and inquiries promptly Manage internal and external audits Act as liaison for third party quality audits and customer audits Oversee audit system: Perform internal and supplier audits Interact with all departments regarding quality issues Train internal auditors. Coach auditors during audits, assist with preparation when necessary using knowledge of company, ISO-9000 and customer requirements: audit findings, business and customer requirements etc.

Experiencia y requisitos

Education/Certifications College degree in a related field Experience in developing, using and maintaining PFMEA documentation and responsible to preserve and monitor the controls of a process through a Control Plan. Familiar with statistical tools such as SPC, Cpk Studies, Gauge R&R and other. Experience At least three years of related experience in Quality Engineering is required.
