Descripción y detalle de las actividades

• Manage inventory of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods; establish and monitor the production schedules for the facilities to achieve customer requirements • Establishes Production Schedules for the manufacture of finished products utilizing current forecast and computerized programs as needed, including scheduling work for individual departments, ensuring the time, delivery and accuracy of all responsible inventory categories and purchased goods. • Maintains the Production Schedule for the facilities, reviewing daily to adjust for changes in customer requirements, delay in receiving raw materials, availability production equipment, etc. Advises appropriate parties in the plan and the sales offices of changes in the schedule. • Communicates priorities to appropriate production supervisors and revises production schedules to reflect current demand. • Works with production supervisors to resolve problems affecting production schedules. • Reviews computerized inventory of raw materials against present and anticipated sales orders. Activates reorder points where judgment determines an anticipated shortfall. • Purchases raw materials, and other goods required by the company. • Acts as primary contact with Customer Service and manufacturing, determining resources constraints and developing plans to achieve customer needs. • Participates in weekly meetings with appropriate staff to discuss the production planning. • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Experiencia y requisitos

• Experience:2 years of experience in medical devices company • Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: • Experience in planning/purchasing and/or various material functions. • Extensive hands on experience with a computerized production planning/purchasing system, such as MRP. • Knowledge in the Mapics/ERP system. Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional ethics, tact and courtesy in dealing with vendors. • Ability to analyze situations and react in a timely manner, when necessary.
