Design, develop and maintain software modules for instrumentation purposes. Candidate should be familiar with Windows Operating System. Must Maintain and add software modules to existing C# user interface for machine operation. The engineer will be responsible for the design, software improvement and troubleshooting of Astrophysics x-ray systems, creating reports, assisting the manufacturing floor with malfunctioning software. When necessary, the engineer will be required to travel. • Design and develop assigned software modules. • Test for operation of the module. • Test for reliability of the module inside the machine, after it is integrated with the algorithms. • Write manufacturing and test procedure. • Provide training to manufacturing personnel on the assembly and testing of new and existing products. • Assist in the integration between software and electrical control systems. • Provide complete and organized documentation for analysis and recommend improvements to existing designs. • Assemble, test and troubleshoot new or existing product designs and provide feedback to project engineer. • Rewriting algorithms to include GPU processing. • Collaborate with other engineers and teams to deliver SW prototype and production solution. • Travel when required to coordinate with other team members and hand over projects. • Comply with the standards of engineering department.
Experiencia y requisitos
• 2+years with MSCS or MSEE Or 3+years with MSEE or BSEE. • Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience in a software engineering related field. • Experience with standard electronic testing equipment, such as: oscilloscope, digital multi-meter, logic analyzer, frequency generators, etc. • Solid knowledge in fundamental algorithms and data structure. • Digital and analog circuit design. • PCB manufacturing and/or design skills. • Familiarity with PLC functionality and integration. • Experience with troubleshooting PC (hardware and software) related failures. • Experience with Microsoft Office applications; including WORD, EXCEL, POWEPOINT and VISIO. • EEUU Visa. • Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Experience in C# programming (Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2005). • ISO 9001 knowledge (deseable). • Demonstrates job knowledge. • Drives quality and excellence. • Ph.D. or MS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering for related program with 3 years of hands-on software development experience in image processing or computer graphics. • Programming proficiency in C++, C#, CUDA. • GPU programming: Python, Computer Vision, OpenCV, OpenCL, OpenGL. • Development of web application. • Self-motivated strong problem analysis and solving skills. • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. • Works well with others. • Shows initiative and responsiveness.
