Descripción y detalle de las actividades

  1. Participate in the achievement of goals for the production unit relative to key Quality Operating System metrics; including gross margins, scrap, labor efficiency, safety, equipment utilization (OEE), on-time delivery, training, inventories, overtime costs, customer satisfaction, and expense spending.
  2. Provides guidance and leadership to warehouse team.
  3. Manage warehouse area.
  4. Responds accurately, timely and professionally to internal customer inquiries regarding transit times and shipment information.
  5. Understands how to prepare all shipping and receiving documents in a timely and accurate manner and assist the specialists to make sure they are done correctly.
  6. Ensure specialists accurately complete all shipping and receiving transactions.
  7. Compare identifying information and counts, weight, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, box label, invoices, orders, or other records.
  8. Review daily order backlogs and identifies problem areas. Gives immediate and professional feedback to internal customers on order shortages, changes, delays, or other important issues.
  9. Works pro-actively with planning and service department on a regular basis to obtain current customer routing information.
  10. Participate in yearly physical inventory.
  11. Recommend improvements to department processes.Maintain a neat
  12. and organized work area.
  13. Always expected to exhibit and demonstrate safe behaviors and to perform job in a safe manner.
  14. Provide support to the accounting department in investigating receipt errors and inventory issues.
  15. Assist the production process in ensuring inventory and ERP System locations are accurate.

Experiencia y requisitos

  1. Knowledge of software, databases and inventory systems
  2. Numerical, visual and manual skills.
  3. Knowledge forklift driving 
  4. Knowledge and experience in cycle counts, shiping and receiving procces
  5. Comunications skills
  6. Previous experience with international shipping & warehouse management
  7. Previous experience leading and directing the work of others
  8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  9. Fundamental understanding of logistics
  10. 5 years of experience to be considered
  11. Bilingual English, written and spoken
