LEAD New Plant Setup in Tijuana for Medical Device Company Looking for the leader who will drive strategic planning as well as the overall day to day operational success for a medical manufacturing Tijuana Maquiladora factory. This individual will be the primary interface with the Mexican Maquiladora business partner both directing and managing the business partner. 12 to 24 months Transfer - During this phase the focus is the startup of a new Tijuana operation including overseeing the planning, budgeting, hiring, training, equipping, and implementing factory systems and processes; all leading to successful validation runs and product line qualification. This individual provides direction and support in the implementation of the corporate quality system, facility, IT and SAP systems, EH&S, and the planning and execution of the global production line transfers to the Tijuana operation. In the Ongoing Operations phase responsibilities include overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations, including manufacturing itself, production control, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, inventory control, and materials functions, such as purchasing, and shipping/receiving activities. Experience leading a Maquiladora operation. Experience transferring and starting up production in a Maquiladora operation. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN THE USA AND HAVE APPROPRIATE VISA OR US CITIZENSHIP.

Duties: *Leads manufacturing operations in the Tijuana Facility *Manages and directs local maquiladora partner *Defines goals, improves technologies, and resolves problems in conjunction with managers of manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, and sales. *Translates customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products. *Provides leadership and ensures ethical and quality compliance *Develops operations-related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures *Prepares detailed schedules with target dates for deliverables, prioritizes and monitors activities to meet such dates, make commitments on delivery *Maintains safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility. Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge : *Ability, competence, and confidence to lead people. *Effective interpersonal skills. *Fluent in both English and Spanish languages *Experience in medical manufacturing with ISO 13485 and FDA applicable regulatory requirements and inspections *Previous experience / strong understanding of budgeting/expense management with basic understanding of financial and accounting practices *Primary place of work will be in Tijuana
