As a Payroll Specialist you will help us process bi-weekly payroll for the US and Canada. You will be a key part of the Payroll team reporting to the North America Payroll Manager and will ensure a first-class service to our employees with the highest level of accuracy and make efficiency improvements by implementing process and systems changes. You will perform this role in accordance with established company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. What you’ll do: •Process new hires, terminations, status changes, deductions, direct deposits, computing and processing time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays, leave of absence processing , sick leave, and researches and produces special reports. • Manage accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly, multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now payroll for US and Canada employees. • Audit of data entry & import/export interfaces for employee and pay data change and make any corrections/adjustments. • Review of all payroll-related input to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits, compliant with federal & state regulations. • Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner to provide excellent customer service. • Handle preparation of manual payments for out-of-cycle payments. • Entry and on-going audit of all tax levies, child supports and garnishments. • Perform reconciliation and fund Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account, Deferred Comp and 401k contributions to participants’ accounts in a timely manner on each pay date.

Experiencia y requisitos

What you'll do: •Review employee timecards for accuracy and resolve timecard exceptions prior to the submission of payroll, including adding missing punches to employees’ timecards. • Registration of state and local payroll tax as needed. • Prepare, design and create a variety of complex payroll reports; compile, analyze, calculate and audit information from Time Tracking system; coordinate and administer employee hours/days tracking programs and researches and resolves payroll issues and discrepancies. • Performs payroll-related duties requiring independent judgment and initiative under the stress of strict deadlines. • Must be able to effectively prioritize daily workflow tasks on an independent basis. • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks with minimal oversight. • Demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality. We would love to hear from you if: • 2-5+ years of payroll experience and related accounting/finance experience. • Knowledge of general payroll practices, IRS and State tax regulations. • In-depth knowledge of payroll related deductions such as HSA, FSA, ESPP, 401k contribution and reporting of equity/stock transactions. • In-depth knowledge or the ability to research multi state pay related practices and local ordinances. • Proficient working with payroll systems that integrate or interface with other systems is this needed? You mention WFN below. • Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail. • Skilled with generating ad-hoc reports. • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and a working knowledge of Canada Payroll, tax and labor wage laws preferred. • Experience with Excel, including formulas, v-look up, and linked spreadsheets. • Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment. • A team player who can work with employees at all levels. • Good/Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
