SR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Responsible to provide Manufacturing Engineering support to the Mexicali facility. Interfaces with Production manager, Quality Engineer, Inspectors, leads, Operators, and maintenance personnel in the Mexicali facility. Interfaces with Engineers in EU. Proactively uses Engineering Six Sigma tools to seek out manufacturing problems and identify resolutions. Resolves all production/process problems. Manages the maintenance of Equipment including P.M. Identifies, acquires, and implements Assembly or factory equipment. Implements and qualifies new Assembly lines into Mexico. Resolves production or process problems. May recommend altering equipment or process. Will coordinate the equipment repairs if needed. Dispositions parts “Expert” on MRB team for evaluating product/process problems. Coordinates with outside sources for facility items or production equipment repair etc. Determines and controls all Labor standards for processes and for new products Qualifies new or altered Equipment or processes Determines and specifies production methods, sequence, tooling and equipment for manufacturing operations Coordinates and Qualifies the installation of new assembly lines Qualifies new or altered Equipment or processes Define Root Cause and Corrective action/Containment for response to customers Conceives and implements cost reduction projects Develops production instructions Translates Engineering documents Trains leads, operators in processes Travels to EU for coordination or training for a new assembly line transfer. Coordinates factory improvements and repairs. Acquire quotes and select vendors, write purchase requisitions. Other projects or tasks as assigned
