The accountant identifies relevant data and data sources, gathers and analyzes the information, and provides feedback. Typically, decisions will impact relatively low risk issues and will be reviewed by a supervisor. Work will be directed by a supervisor, but this position does not require close supervision to be effective. Possible areas of responsibility are varied, including: - financial accounting including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory accounting; - internal management accounting including profit center reporting and budgeting; - development and maintenance of internal controls, and - cost accounting, including rate development and basic business analysis. The variety of accounting tasks ranges from low to medium complexity. Interaction outside the workgroup is typically with peers. As the Accountant gains experience, he/she will develop a technical understanding of more complex accounting issues and expand their decision-making capability. Accountants will continuously learn through training and experience. Learning at this level will focus on methods, processes and systems applied to accounting, developing communications skills and building knowledge of Caterpillar’s businesses, products, suppliers and customers. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Requires a 4-year degree, preferably in accounting. Must demonstrate initiative leadership, and the ability to communicate effectively.

The Customer Services Project Management team consists of a group of leaders who are dedicated to making customers successful by delivering sustainable aftermarket solutions that meet both current and future energy demand. This position has primary accountability for administration and support of PRU (Package Refurbishment and Upgrade) projects. The incumbent will provide timely and accurate definition support, managing project creation of bookings and quality feedback to PRU Project Management. Individual will work directly with Project Manager on creation and administration of customer orders in support of customer technical and commercial requirements. This role is responsible for administration of wide spectrum of projects, including full package refurbishment, engine uprates, SoLoNOx conversion, compressor restages, systems upgrades, control retrofits, and station controls. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES & KNOWLEDGE: Plans, schedules, manages, and monitors the project management order to facilitate the execution of Customer Services PSU projects. The scope of this position includes and not limited to: · Initial setup (Salesforce, Baan and 42 updates) · Translation and understanding of customer proposal of customer purchase order · Document Control (PSU & Refurb) · Logistics, Commissioning coordination and paperwork · Update Unit RTS and Delivery dates · Request team assignments from Salesforce · Add team members to Salesforce · Monitoring Past Due Invoices in Salesforce · Monitor past due Milestones · Monitor and Manage Metrics for Project Order Audits and other Project support activity · Update and release of salesforce sales order docs (project scope) · Field Quality Feedback Entry (Tech Connect & other DB) Qualifications: Requires a minimum of 3-5 years
