The Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit business advocacy organization seeking to enhance employment and economic opportunities in Otay Mesa and develop a competitive and increased exporting base in San Diego. Poised by the economic impacts developed by the creation of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry in 1985, the Chamber was founded in 1987 under the leadership of a group of visionary businessmen who wanted to have their interests represented. Services Provided by the Chamber Managed by staff and directed by a 17-member elected Board of Directors, the Chamber provides the following services: *Advocating for Major Transportation Projects in Otay Mesa impacting the Border Community. *Providing Useful Information for Regional Businesses. *Creating Business Opportunities through Networking Opportunities and Special Programs. *Ensuring a Safe and Sound Environment for Businesses in Otay Mesa.
