The position will cover the day to day import and export operations of the facility, working with multiple departments such as warehouse, shipping, maintenance and engineering in getting registered commodities in and out of the plant.
The Import-Export analyst is the main point of contact for the US and MX customs broker, the US cross-dock facility and cross-border carriers pertaining to daily operations.
Focus on commercial invoice review for accuracy is paramount, checking values, quantities, conversion factors, classification match to descriptions and that duty waiver programs are applied correctly.
Experiencia y requisitos
- Generate import and export commercial invoices (CI) from the customs compliance software for any commodity that the facility requires to ship. Being raw material components, finished goods, fixed assets, etc.
- Coordinate and control the inventory and brokerage inspections at the US cross-dock facility destined for southbound operation.
- Work with the customs broker on the MRO or definitive importation manifest (pedimento A1) along with the internal customer to get the items on-time to the facility.
- Monitor and control all INBOND shipments transiting the US for export.
- Monitor and coordinate all ocean shipments through multiple ocean ports in Mexico to be delivered on-time and without delays to the facility.
- Generate virtual transfers (V1) CIs Manage the multiple catalogs and CI management of the customs compliance software.
- Work with the assigned cross-border transportation companies to coordinate empty trailer requirements at the US cross-dock facility as well as the entire southbound operation until the shipment is fully delivered.
