Descripción y detalle de las actividades
- Direct and organize the Mexican and U.S. accounting functions of the companies and their divisions.
- Establish annual plans for the Financial Accounting function.
- Ensure compliance with the companies’ tax obligations in Mexico and the United States.
- Prepare and review accounting procedures and request modifications to procedures in other areas that are related to Accounting,
- Coordinate and provide information to the Controller, and coordinate the same with Materials, Purchasing, Quality, Customs, and other company departments.
- Prepare the company’s cash flow, based on sales forecasts, collection and supplier payment policies, bank commitments, and company funding requirements in Mexico or the United States.
- Report monthly to the corporate office in Japan the financial statements and other reports requested periodically or on a special basis.
- Coordinate physical inventory audits in collaboration with assigned staff.
- Ensure control of fixed assets and inventories in collaboration with assigned staff.
Experiencia y requisitos
- 5–10 years in similar positions
- Experience in accounting for Mexican companies, preferably with maquiladora companies
- Experience in financial accounting for U.S. companies or knowledge of accounting systems for foreign companies Internal Controls – SOX or JSOX
- Proficiency in Excel and pivot tables
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- Financial or accounting training through courses or diploma programs
- Knowledge and use of ERP systems or accounting systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- English proficiency: minimum 90%
