- Under supervision, the Jr Supply Planner is responsible for translating demand plans into supply plans. They support demand planning by ensuring strong in-stock and service level through maintaining inventory levels, safety stock parameters, and lead times for component or finished good inventory. They are also responsible for working with internal and external partners to translate supply plan into purchase order/work order workload.
- Coordinate and follow-up with suppliers, operations and warehousing regarding late orders, material outages.
- Manage lead times to drive operational efficiency and improve service.
- Understand plant/supplier capacity, lead-time and operational plans, to ensure proper inventory is maintained.
- Communicate with peers and escalate to leadership team when potential supply issues arise.
- Utilize system-generated reports to determine priorities, to identify and resolve potential issues, and to confirm/communicate results.
- Create ad hoc reporting when needed.
Experiencia y requisitos
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/administration 0-2 years on similiar role
- English advanced
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- AS400/SAP
- Experience communicating with internal and external business partners and coss-functional teams at various levels
- Ability to follow instructions carefully witten and/or verbal
