Manages price lines and profit margin ranges.
Selects suppliers ensuring they meet quality standards and technical requirements.
Negotiates favorable contracts and purchasing conditions seeking to increase operating margin.
Makes purchase orders, track deliveries and manages raw material inventories.
Monitors stock levels and anticipates replenishment needs.
Implements cost reduction strategies without compromising quality and delivery times.
Works together with the production department to align raw material needs with production planning.
Identifies and mitigates risks associated with the supply chain.
Develops and proposes contingency plans in case of delays or supply problems.
Provides clear information and analysis for strategic decision making.
Manages inventory levels based on demand to avoid excess and obsolete items.
Establishes assortment standards in terms of cost, suppliers, models, etc.
Maintains an updated supplier catalog and raw material prices.
Maintains excellent business relationships with suppliers seeking excellent collaboration and service.
Ensure a preferred position with suppliers.
Negotiate terms, discounts, benefits, returns and various conditions with suppliers.
Comply with the ethics policy of negotiations.
Generate purchase orders and general processing documents.
Propose, generate and document procedures within the purchasing department seeking standardization and continuous improvement.

Experiencia y requisitos

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business or related.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position.
90% English
Knowledge of Office suite (advanced Excel).
Management of MRP systems.
Experience in bidding with suppliers.
Excellent negotiator.
Service-oriented and highly organized.
High degree of responsibility.
Effective communication.
Analytical and critical thinking.
Ability to plan and prioritize tasks.
Proposes solutions based on an analysis.
Ability to generate procedures, analysis and indicators in a clear and concise manner.
