Import - Export Manager

Responsible for leading and overseeing foreign trade operations to ensure the timely supply of raw materials, indirect materials, supplies, and fixed assets, as well as the return or export of finished goods and unused materials.

Ensures all transactions comply with current customs laws and regulations in Mexico and the United States through documentary review, electronic data transmission, and regulatory compliance.

• Establish processes and procedures ensuring compliance with Mexican and U.S. customs regulations
• Oversee daily import/export operations and validate invoices and documentation
• Manage customs brokers and logistics providers
• Ensure compliance with Foreign Trade and Customs Laws, trade agreements, and certification programs
• Supervise foreign trade inventory control systems (Annex 24 & 30) and reconciliations
• Prepare regulatory and annual reports for authorities
• Manage certificates of origin and preferential tariff programs
• Resolve customs issues and ensure shipment releases
• Maintain communication with brokers and authorities in Mexico and the U.S.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize time and costs
• Perform tariff classification of materials, finished goods, and equipment
• Ensure documentation retention and compliance
• Support audits and government requests
