Descripción y detalle de las actividades

Samara Living is a manufacturer of Modular Houses for exportation to the USA.

After each unit is finished in the Mexicali plant,  it's loaded into a platform and transported to the client's location in California. 

  • This role will drive a wide range of mechanical engineering development, focusing on the design, testing, and installation of our modular units and their subcomponents.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in mechanical engineering principles and significant experience in modular construction or related industries.


Responsibilities:

● Design, test, and validate mechanical components and assemblies specifically tailored for modular construction, ensuring compliance with product specifications and regulatory standards

● Perform detailed tolerance stack-up analysis and incorporate design for assembly principles to optimize constructability.

● Lead the development and implementation of installation sequences for prefabricated modular buildings, optimizing for efficiency, safety, and performance.

Manage transportation and lifting strategies for modular units, focusing on driving cost efficiency while ensuring safe execution.

● Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and operations teams to develop and enforce comprehensive quality control standards.

● Utilize CAD software (Onshape preferred) and other engineering tools to create accurate 3D models, technical drawings, and specification packages.

● Provide general mechanical engineering support, including material selection, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics as applicable to ongoing projects.

Experiencia y requisitos

Qualifications:

● Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design, structural analysis, and problem-solving, ideally within the construction industry.

● Proficiency in CAD software (Onshape, Solidworks, NX, or equivalent); Revit experience is a plus.

● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, with a preference for experience in the construction or modular construction sectors.

● Experience with FEA (ANSYS preferred) is advantageous.

● Exceptional project management, organizational, and leadership skills.

● Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively.

● A strong track record of engineering innovation and successful project execution
