Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the appropriate supply of raw materials for the plant, using information available in the ORACLE system, including planned orders, recommendations, and approved suppliers. Maintains strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring there are no outstanding payment issues or overdue purchase orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze planned orders.
- Review and analyze system exceptions.
- Review and update past-due purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
- Review and follow up on expedited orders.
- Review supplier invoices pending payment.
- Resolve discrepancies in received purchased materials.
- Distribute forecasts to suppliers.
- Manage urgent material releases.
- Prepare inventory projections as needed.
- Provide support to other departments as required.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of automotive manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of production planning, supply chain, and inventory control
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)
Behavioral Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to learn and take ownership
Experiencia y requisitos
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in purchasing and supply chain management.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of ORACLE is preferred.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and material flow.
- Familiarity with Kanban and Push/Pull systems.
- Knowledge of logistics and shipping methods.
- Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Experience in inventory management.
