Main responsibilities:
- Lead New Product Introductions and Transitions, collaborating with Operations teams
- Lead standardization and business group and site initiative for process engineering.
- Lead Project Management team.
- Lead new process and product qualification process, technical review approval, partners with business group engineering and quality departments.
- Partner with Product Line Management, Sales and Marketing teams on evaluating pursuits opportunities and strategic product roadmap for the Mexicali Cable Backplane Operation.
- Responsible for Project Management and Product Management team resources.
- CAPEX management on NPI and growth project and strategies
- Accountable for implementing a world class manufacturing processes control mindset and standards supporting the site and business units’ success.
- Ensure strategic plans are in place to support growth from a footprint, process capability and capacity and technical structure perspective.
- Footprint and layout strategic management
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement in all facets of the operation is necessary for success.
- Partner with test and automation engineering, for new product introduction, transitions, and project management.
- Partners with corporate engineering to ensure group strategic initiatives are deployed in our plant in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensures safety elements are deployed into manufacturing processes including JSA, equipment risk assessment.
Experiencia y requisitos
THE CANDIDATE
- +5 years’ experience in electronic manufacturing as Engineering Manager, experience on cable assembly is preferred
- BS Degree Industrial / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in both Spanish and English
- Strong experience in transitions and project management
- Strong experience in NPI and qualification
- Experience in manufacturing lean transformation in a high volume and high mix
- Experience leading capital initiatives until full deployment
- Proven ability to lead a team to achieve stretch goals and objectives
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities including people development
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects successfully
- Financial planning for new and existing projects
- Lean expert preferred
- MBA preferred
- 5% - 10% -time international travel ( travel to Asia , North America )
- VISA required
