Amphenol is one of the world’s largest providers of high-technology interconnect, sensor and antenna solutions. Amphenol is a market leader in interconnect development for the information technology (IT) and datacom market, with industry-leading high-speed, power and fiber optic technologies ,Our value-added cable assemblies include cable assemblies and harnesses, cable management products and backplane interconnect systems.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Lead New Product Introductions and Transitions, collaborating with Operations teams
  2. Lead standardization and business group and site initiative for process engineering.
  3. Lead Project Management team.
  4. Lead new process and product qualification process, technical review approval, partners with business group engineering and quality departments.
  5. Partner with Product Line Management, Sales and Marketing teams on evaluating pursuits opportunities and strategic product roadmap for the Mexicali Cable Backplane Operation.
  6. Responsible for Project Management and Product Management team resources.
  7. CAPEX management on NPI and growth project and strategies
  8. Accountable for implementing a world class manufacturing processes control mindset and standards supporting the site and business units’ success.
  9. Ensure strategic plans are in place to support growth from a footprint, process capability and capacity and technical structure perspective.
  10. Footprint and layout strategic management
  11. Driving a culture of continuous improvement in all facets of the operation is necessary for success.
  12. Partner with test and automation engineering, for new product introduction, transitions, and project management.
  13. Partners with corporate engineering to ensure group strategic initiatives are deployed in our plant in a timely and effective manner.
  14. Ensures safety elements are deployed into manufacturing processes including JSA, equipment risk assessment.

Experiencia y requisitos

THE CANDIDATE

  1. +5 years’ experience in electronic manufacturing as Engineering Manager, experience on cable assembly is preferred
  2. BS Degree Industrial / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering
  3. Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in both Spanish and English
  4. Strong experience in transitions and project management
  5. Strong experience in NPI and qualification
  6. Experience in manufacturing lean transformation in a high volume and high mix
  7. Experience leading capital initiatives until full deployment
  8. Proven ability to lead a team to achieve stretch goals and objectives
  9. Demonstrated leadership capabilities including people development
  10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects successfully
  11. Financial planning for new and existing projects
  12. Lean expert preferred
  13. MBA preferred
  14. 5% - 10% -time international travel ( travel to Asia , North America )
  15. VISA required
