1. Quality Planning and Control: Develop quality plans, visual aids and checklist for each work transfer project, outlining quality objectives, metrics, and processes. Establish quality control measures to monitor and evaluate project performance, identifying areas for improvement and corrective action.
2. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate work transfer processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Implementprocess enhancements to streamline operations and enhance overall quality and efficiency.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance, to facilitate smooth work transfers from a quality standpoint, coordinate activities and ensure alignment across departments to achieve project goals.
4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues associated with work transfer projects from a quality perspective and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact. Proactively address challenges and obstacles to ensure project success.
5. Quality Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members involved in work transfer activities, ensuring a thorough understanding of quality standards, processes, and expectations. Foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of all work transfer activities,including project plans, quality assessments, and performance metrics. Generate regular reports to communicate quality trends, and key insights to stakeholders.
Experiencia y requisitos
- Minimum of 10 years in a similar position (preferred).
- Experience with new product introductions.
- Technical knowledge of CNC machining, painting, and welding processes.
- Proven experience managing and leading teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects from initiation through completion.
- Solid knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., SixSigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO standards, PFMEA, Control Plan).
- Experience in risk management, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – mandatory.
