Process Improvement o Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for efficiency, cost, and cycle time improvement. o Design, implement, and validate process changes using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. o Be responsible for manufacturing process development, process capability, new tool design, manufacturing cost estimations, Sourcing technical support, product and process qualifications, test support, product cost reduction initiatives, and Capital Equipment projects. o Provide technical leadership for the manufacturing processes and testing of products. o Own or support manufacturing engineering projects requiring development of specifications, supplier management, purchase, installation, and qualification of manufacturing equipment. • Error-proofing & Process Robustness o Desing and implement poka-yoke solutions to eliminate opportunities for operator or process error.
Develop and implement work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs and Control Plans to drive consistency and repeatability. • Troubleshooting & Failure Resolution o Serve as technical escalation point for production issues, line-down events, and quality escapes. o Lead root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5-why, fishbone/Ishikawa) for process related issues. o Drive corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness of implemented fixes. o Investigate equipment, tooling, and fixture failures, coordinating repair or redesign as needed. o Partner with quality engineering to analyze non-conformances, defect trends, and field returns tied to manufacturing process.
Experiencia y requisitos
Education/Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an accredited university.
• Lean Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (Preferred). Experience
• 6 to 10 Years’ experience as Manufacturing/Process Engineer.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Medical, Electric, Electronics, Aerospace.
• Process troubleshooting and strong problem-solving experience required (Six Sigma, A3, 8D´s, etc.), Red X knowledge (Preferred).
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing technology and the ability to apply and adapt technology to new situations.
• Experience in leading and supporting implementation of projects with cross-functional teams. Hard Skills
• English 90%, read, spoken, written.
• New layout design and material flow for production lines knowledge.
• CAM / CAD software.
• Minitab, MS office.
• Lean 3P (Production Preparation Process) Knowledge and implementation experience (Preferred)
• Core Tools (APQP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, CP) certification or experience.
• Technical expertise in Manufacturing processes, electrical products, new process technologies.
• Lean process development and NPI knowledge
• Low-cost Automation and Digitalization Knowledge (Preferred)
• Productivity and Cost Saving projects leading.
• Project management (PMP) certification or skills (Preferred)
• Lean Six Sigma and Design For six sigma projects leading and experience. Soft Skills
