Descripción y detalle de las actividades

Provide decisive strategic leadership and operational oversight for internal and external material movement, directly supporting flawless operation in the facility, and timely supply for new product and service items for customers in NA and several countries. Primary driver for achieving world-class inventory accuracy, maximizing supply chain throughput, and ensuring rigorous FDA, SOX, and Mexican regulatory compliance across all logistics processes where this facility is involved.

Strategic Leadership & Financial Oversight

Leads the site's operational strategy to boost warehouse productivity, reduce shipping/transportation TAT, and meet service-level expectations. Owns major transformation initiatives in technology, automation, and process redesign to drive efficiency and cost optimization. Manages key logistics partners, evaluates carriers and 3PLs, and ensures high service quality while maintaining financial discipline and customer satisfaction.

Inventory Control, Compliance & Regulatory Governance

Directs all inventory control activities with strict standards aligned to SOX, FDA, GxP, and Mexican regulatory requirements. Owns the compliance framework, including audit programs, system controls, and the Material Review Board. Ensures zero tolerance in receiving accuracy, champions root-cause and corrective actions for discrepancies, and drives adherence to procedures, mitigation plans, and accuracy targets across the team.

Warehouse, Transportation Excellence & Transformation

Oversees daily warehouse operations—receiving, put-away, picking, shipping—and enforces disciplined material flow, kitting, staging, and JIT (Milk Run) delivery. Ensures on-time outbound shipments, export compliance, and capacity planning to avoid customs or peak-period risks. Manages transportation performance, resolves customer issues, leads ERP/WMS and automation upgrades, and supports global/regional transfers and NPI.

Experiencia y requisitos

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCMP) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in a complex, high-volume, highly regulated manufacturing and distribution environment (e.g., Medical Device or electronics).
  • Mandatory Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, including SOX controls, FDA requirements (GxP), and international/Mexican customs, invoicing, and regulatory compliance. CT Pat certification desirable.
  • Technical Acumen: Proven success in leading the implementation of Tier-1 ERP/WMS systems and deploying material handling automation.
  • Skills: Demonstrated success in achieving Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) excellence. Expert-level knowledge of domestic/international transportation management, carrier negotiation, and Lean principles (JIT, Milk Runs). Exceptional analytical and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and mentor large, multi-functional teams.
