Descripción y detalle de las actividades

Ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of quality, environmental, health, and safety management systems in accordance with national and international regulations.

  • Develop, maintain, and promote the implementation of management systems, including, but not limited to, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SA 8000. Lead periodic internal audits and assist in related audit
  • Assist superiors in completing Management Review (MR) reports for various systems, as well as BSC (Balance Score Card) consolidation and tracking
  • Lead and manage audits conducted by third parties and customers for management system compliance.
  • Collect and review relevant laws and regulations for each system, ensuring compliance through appropriate evaluations.
  • Lead training programs related to management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican and international environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Monitor changes in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) laws and policies and update internal procedures accordingly.
  • Apply for, renew, and maintain all necessary EHS-related licenses and permits in Mexico
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and other relevant agencies to ensure compliance with all required documentation and procedures
  • Keep track of permit expiration dates and ensure timely renewals to avoid legal risks or operational disruptions
  • Prepare for and support internal and external regulatory audits, maintaining proper documentation and records
  • Oversee waste management and other environmental compliance requirements.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety standards.
  • Organize and manage on-site emergency brigade..
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican fire safety regulations, including fire risk assessments, evacuation procedures, and fire drills.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and implement preventive measures to minimize fire hazards.

Experiencia y requisitos

a) Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in positions related to safety, occupational health, and/or the environment.

b) Solid knowledge of safety, occupational health, and environmental technologies.

c) Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership positions in Quality Management.

d) Advanced knowledge of quality and continuous improvement tools.

e) Excellent communication skills and decision-making ability.

f) Advanced English proficiency
