Commodity Specialist – New Product Introduction (NPI)

We are seeking a highly motivated Commodity Specialist – NPI to support sourcing and supplier strategy for new product introductions. This role will be responsible for ensuring material availability, supplier readiness, and cost competitiveness during product launches.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance
• Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements with suppliers
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Operations to support product launches
• Ensure supplier readiness, capacity, and compliance for new programs
• Drive cost reduction initiatives (PPV, VA/VE)
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed
• Support risk mitigation and ensure supply continuity
