Cost Accountant / Cost Analyst

Objective: The cost analyst is responsible for comparing actual cost to standard cost and identifying and explaining variance by customer, part number, and production jobs. 

Role and Responsibilities:

• Ensure integrity of inventory cost and valuation by:

1. Making sure timely and accuracy of inventory transactions from inventory receipt, inventory usage, and finished goods shipment.

2. Conduct inventory cycle count programs for all locations.

3. Working with purchasing to ensure inventory costs on purchase orders:

• Perform work orders review:

1. Identify variance and the root cause.

2. Ensure inventory and labor transactions are processed timely and accurately.

• Prepare, analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis.
• Responsible for account reconciliation of physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Responsible for reporting on labor productivity and efficiency for all locations.
