Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the design and development of complex electrical hardware systems for medical devices.
- Develop schematics, PCB layouts, component selection, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Perform detailed design and integration of analog and digital electronic circuits to meet functional and performance requirements.
- Develop and execute comprehensive verification and validation test plans, including prototype bring-up, debugging, and compliance testing.
- Diagnose, modify, and rework electronic circuits to optimize performance and resolve design issues.
- Participate in design control activities in compliance with ISO 13485 and quality management system requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, layouts, and test reports.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, quality teams, and external suppliers to ensure successful system integration.
- Stay current with medical device technologies and applicable regulatory standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Experiencia y requisitos
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical hardware design within the medical device industry.
- Proven track record leading and successfully delivering complex medical device design projects.
- Strong experience in analog and digital circuit design, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
- Experience working in ISO 13485 regulated environments; highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (IEC 60601, FDA requirements), desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience with risk management processes such as FMEA and FTA.
- Experience designing high-voltage, low-current circuits with strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- Knowledge of ESD, EMC/EMI considerations in sensitive electronic systems.
- Experience using circuit simulation tools such as SPICE.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in PCB design tools, specifically Altium Designer.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, soldering station).
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485 quality system and design control principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and basic project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Advanced English (written and spoken) required for technical documentation and collaboration with global teams.
