Financial Analyst

The main function is to convert the internal production costs of a Bill of Materials into a competitive and profitable final price for the customer. This requires conducting rigorous financial analyses in order to provide recommendations that improve the accuracy of the results. The position plays a crucial role at the intersection of the Technical Center, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Production to develop a strategic vision that identifies all possible courses of action and ensures successful execution, all while meeting the applicable Quality and Environmental Management System requirements.

• Develop a deep understanding of costing principles and cost models used when quoting new business and help manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process from start to finish.

• Develop a deep understanding of the pricing models and principles used to make pricing decisions and provide oversight in the price change process.

• Act as the point of contact between Sales and Finance to communicate specific customer and product details, such as historical sales, margins, pricing, and costs.

• Prepare periodic reviews on customer/item profitability, provide recommendations for improvements, and carry those recommendations through to completion and implementation.

• Other responsibilities and ad hoc projects as needed.
