Descripción y detalle de las actividades

  • Responsible for developing, directing, planning and evaluating human resource processes, programs, and initiatives to support the organization's objectives. 
  • Partners with the human resource business partners and the global Center of Expertise (COE) directors to provide human resources services in a coordinated and consistent manner. 
  • Drives human resources processes and projects (strategic and tactical levels) in multiple countries. 
  • Collaborates with the Global COEs and responsible for the day-to-day and executing strategic initiatives for Global data, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation and HR systems. 
  • Responsible for select human resources shared service teams, who are responsible for executing defined global and regional human resources tasks and processes. 
  • Participates or leads HR Project management on global, regional or local level interacting with IT, Finance, Legal as well as other internal/external groups

Experiencia y requisitos

  • Thorough knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, as well as country-specific labor laws and regulations (scope includes approximately 25 countries across multiple cultures and languages).
  • Solid understanding of Steelcase’s organizational structure and core HR processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze situations, make sound decisions, and develop alternative courses of action.
  • Ability to set goals, define strategies, and create schedules to achieve them; capable of prioritizing tasks, -- -- anticipating challenges, and proposing effective solutions.
  • Proven leadership skills to counsel executives and HR staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees at all levels of the organization and representing the company to external audiences.
  • Ability to facilitate change and continuously seek innovative approaches to challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to develop and present well‑supported points of view with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Capability to evaluate the effectiveness of solutions and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage and oversee budgets effectively.
