Descripción y detalle de las actividades

Central baseband hardware design organization designs baseband and embedded system development platforms utilizing application processors, modems, power management ICs (PMICs), and RF modules for in-house design verification, software/firmware development, and ASIC product test.

These highly integrated, multi-card platforms incorporate high performance SOCs, high speed memories, high resolution displays, RF transceivers/modules, and a host of digital & analog peripherals (Audio, USB, Bluetooth, GPS, MIPI, WLAN, and LAN/Ethernet).

Job responsibilities include working across disciplines to define the platform's requirements, working with the hardware team to define the architecture of the platform, designing and documenting the hardware platform, schematic and BOM capture, working with the CAD team on the PWB layout, lab-based design verification and integration, transition of the design to small volume production, and technical support of in-house customers.

Experiencia y requisitos

Required skills / experience

  • BSEE or MSEE in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3 to 6 yrs applicable experience.
  • Digital/baseband & analog circuit experience.
  • Strong lab skills. (strong debugging skills, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • Proficient in English.

The following skills are highly desired

  • Experience working with 1GHz+ ARM or x86 hardware platforms that include DDRx memory interfaces.
  • Experience working on signal and power integrity issues.
  • Familiarity with high-speed serial interfaces. (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, etc.)
  • Familiarity with power supply design / topologies and low-power design techniques.
