Descripción y detalle de las actividades

Responsible for planning, designing, executing, and managing facilities and infrastructure projects. Leads multidisciplinary projects related to building systems, utilities, automation, energy efficiency, production area modifications and facility expansion. Supervises internal personnel and external contractors, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Drives automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reliability, energy performance, and manufacturing support systems.


Main Functions and Responsibilities

  • Project planning, scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
  • Lead and supervise project engineers, technicians, contractors, and temporary personnel assigned to projects.
  • Develop team objectives, assign priorities, monitor performance, and support personnel development.
  • Manage automation and control system projects including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA/BMS integration, sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Identify automation opportunities that improve safety, productivity, equipment reliability, and energy consumption.
  • Coordinate facility modifications, production transfers, and layout optimization projects.
  • Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring quality, safety, cost, and schedule compliance.
  • Lead risk assessments and change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and health & safety requirements.
  • Prepare project reports, KPIs and executive presentations.
  • Support sustainability and energy reduction programs.

Experiencia y requisitos

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • English: Advanced level (written andverbal).
  • 4–6 years of experience in Facilities or Infrastructure Project Management.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects (CAPEX) from concept through commissioning,
  • Including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, and project closeout.
  • Experience leading personnel and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of automation systems, PLCs, controls, industrial networks, and facility monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, exhaust systems, and energy management.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing facilities exceeding 100,000 sq. ft. is preferred.
