Descripción y detalle de las actividades

  1. Lead and control physical and system-based inventories, ensuring accuracy, proper adjustments, and compliance with SOX, GMP, and internal policies.
  2. Oversee and optimize the end-to-end material flow from external warehouses to production lines, guaranteeing availability and on-time delivery.
  3. Manage and develop the warehouse team, material handlers, and materials planners, promoting operational discipline and adherence to procedures.
  4. Improve processes related to receiving, put-away, storage, kitting, picking, WIP control, scrap handling, and returns, maximizing operational efficiency.
  5. Ensure data integrity within ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar), identifying and correcting discrepancies promptly.
  6. Design and execute cycle counts, internal audits, lot reviews, and discrepancy analyses to maintain inventory reliability.
  7. Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Logistics to anticipate supply risks and ensure continuous material availability.
  8. Manage external warehouses, transportation coordination, and all resources required to maintain uninterrupted supply to the plant.
  9. Lead improvement projects focused on reducing obsolete inventory, optimizing material routes, and improving warehouse layout and storage capacity.
  10. Monitor and report KPIs such as Inventory Accuracy, Inventory Turns, DOH, Fill Rate, Aging, and Material Availability.
  11. Act as the primary escalation point for critical material shortages, deviations, and production line-down risks.
  12. Implement strategies to improve labor productivity, process reliability, and warehouse space utilization.
  13. Maintain a strong daily presence on the production floor and warehouse areas to validate processes, identify gaps, and ensure operational discipline.

Experiencia y requisitos

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in Materials, Inventory Control, or Warehouse Operations, with at least 10 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or medical device environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with ERP/MRP systems, material flow, and advanced inventory control methods.
  • Experience managing external warehouses and coordinating inbound material movement.
  • Technical expertise in warehouse operations, internal logistics, production material replenishment, and inventory management practices.
  • Strong leadership in high-pressure environments, with the ability to solve problems in real time.
  • English proficiency.
