Descripción y detalle de las actividades

  • Develop and execute strategies for efficient inventory management, including demand planning, material procurement, and storage.
  • Ensure the availability of materials required for production and other operations while minimizing the risk of supply disruptions.
  • Implement inventory management systems to optimize inventory levels and reduce associated costs.
  • Manage the supply chain, including coordination with suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners.
  • Implement and improve logistics and materials management processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean and Six Sigma) to identify and eliminate inefficiencies throughout the supply chain.
  • Select, evaluate, and manage relationships with material suppliers and logistics service providers.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality supply.
  • Develop and manage the Materials and Logistics department budget.
  • Monitor and control operating costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing materials management and logistics.
  • Implement safe and sustainable practices for material handling and transportation.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology systems used for inventory and logistics management, including ERP and WMS platforms.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Materials and Logistics team through training, guidance, and ongoing support.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Production and Engineering, to align materials and logistics activities with overall business objectives.
  • Comply with and enforce Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures in accordance with established company procedures, standards, and applicable Mexican Official Standards (NOMs).

Experiencia y requisitos

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of management experience within Supply Chain operations.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements related to supply chain and materials management.
  • Demonstrated, quantifiable achievements in supply chain, materials management, or logistics within the past five (5) years, including measurable improvements in inventory performance, cost reduction, service levels, productivity, or operational efficiency.
  • Previous experience serving in a Manager-level position (e.g., Materials Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Logistics Manager, or equivalent).
  • Valid and verifiable professional certification in Supply Chain Management, such as APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). Candidates must provide the certification number and maintain the certification in good standing.
