Job Purpose
The OMEX Leader drives the implementation of Ontex Manufacturing Excellence (OMEX) at plant level, leading the continuous improvement journey and delivering sustainable performance results. As part of the Plant Leadership Team (PLT), this role connects the site with the global OMEX organization, ensuring alignment and effective execution of best practices. The OMEX Leader partners with leaders and teams across all levels to embed lean ways of working, strengthen capabilities, and drive value creation through operational excellence initiatives.
Main Responsibilities & Key Tasks
- Build credibility and engagement around the Ontex way of working through strong on-the-floor presence and leadership.
- Coach and support departments in the implementation of OMEX systems, proactively identifying and escalating roadblocks.
- Lead the development and deployment of the site vision using the OGSM methodology, aligned with business objectives and supported by OMEX experts.
- Drive capability building, especially for system owners, and promote effective implementation of PDCA cycles.
- Lead and role-model loss elimination methodologies to solve technical and organizational problems.
- Ensure standardization within the plant and alignment with the broader Ontex network.
- Act as the plant’s OMEX subject matter expert, continuously developing own capabilities.
- Mentor employees in tools and methodologies, ensuring strong KPI/API linkage and sustainable results.
- Ensure training effectiveness and alignment of tools with job roles and responsibilities.
- Own and drive operational routines (daily, weekly, and management reviews), including benchmarking practices.
- Maintain close collaboration with global OMEX leaders to drive continuous improvement and feedback loops.
- Lead OMEX self-assessment processes, coordinate expert calibration, and ensure proper validation and qualification.
- Own the maturity level and depth of OMEX implementation across the organization.

- Knowledge of Lean Management Systems is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, test-and-learn environment.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- English 90%
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement and/or Operational Excellence.
- Preferred: 10 years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in people management roles.
- Hands-on experience with loss elimination tools (e.g., Incident Elimination, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance).
- Preferred: Certification in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification, Green Belt (Black Belt Desired)
