Role Overview:

As the Mexico Plant Manager, you will be the primary architect of our manufacturing presence in the region. You will lead the entire lifecycle of our new facility—from site selection and construction to full-scale operational excellence. This is a high-impact role requiring a strategic leader who can bridge the gap between global corporate standards and local execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Launch & Infrastructure

  • Greenfield Leadership: Direct the end-to-face setup of the facility, including site selection, facility design, and equipment procurement in alignment with global HQ.
  • Regulatory Roadmap: Ensure the plant is built and operated in strict accordance with Mexican NOMs, environmental laws, and international quality standards.
  • Operational Blueprint: Design and implement the core management systems for production, safety, and quality from day one.

2. Operational Excellence & Scaling

  • Production Velocity: Drive the manufacturing roadmap to ensure high-quality output that meets aggressive market timelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize workflows, minimize waste, and scale efficiency as the plant matures.
  • P&L Management: Own the annual budget; execute cost-reduction strategies and financial reporting to ensure long-term profitability.

3. Talent & Culture Integration

  • Team Building: Recruit and develop a high-performing local workforce, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Labor Relations: Manage local labor dynamics and ensure 100% compliance with Mexican labor laws to maintain a stable and motivated workforce.

4. Supply Chain & Stakeholder Synergy

  • Strategic Reporting: Act as the vital link between Mexico operations and BU Heads, providing data-driven insights to shape the regional strategy.
  • Logistics Oversight: Partner with supply chain teams to ensure seamless material flow and robust vendor relationships.

  • Regulatory Mastery: Deep understanding of Mexican IMMEX/Maquiladora programs, STPS safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Trilingual Fluency: Professional proficiency in Chinese, English, and Spanish is preferred for navigating our global stakeholder landscape.
