Logistics Coordinator

Overview

The Logistics Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day operation of all aspects of logistics in shipping, ensuring that they are timely and cost effective. Arrange warehousing and transportation of products to the distribution center or a customer. May investigate and respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Assists in traffic management functions including routing pickup and delivery of freight; freight consolidation; freight quotations; and freight forwarders.
• Coordinates shipping and scheduling requirements, freight carriers, freight consolidators, and freight forwarders.
• Audit and approval of freight bills.
• Calculate freight quotations for special projects.
• Monitor performance with freight forwarders for Rain Bird Mexico (RBM)
• Export compliance--ensure that RBM is following export rules and regulations.
• Identify process improvement within freight processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Liaises with local freight companies to review KPI’s and freight pricing
• Import/exports freight management
• Manage large project orders, in liaison with Sales, the Dealer, the Contractor and the 3PL warehouse in terms of allocating and dispatching stock
