Automation Mechanical Design Engineer

Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Experience: 3–5 years of experience in equipment design, mechanical automation, tooling, or fixture development. Experience generating CAD solid models, assemblies, and production drawings. Hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, or equipment assembly. Abilities: Strong mechanical design and drafting skills, including GD&T and tolerance analysis. Ability to read and produce technical drawings to industry standards. Knowledge of mechanical mechanisms, pneumatics, materials selection, and manufacturability. Project-oriented mindset with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Strong teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving abilities. Ability to coordinate with Controls Engineers, NPI Engineers, and Line Engineers as needed. Good understanding of assembly processes and safety design principles. Proficiency with CAD software: SolidWorks (preferred) or Siemens NX. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and BOM/document control workflows. Supervisory Responsibility: May provide guidance and mentorship to engineering staff members.
