Manufacturing Engineer A | Industrial Sewing & Textile Manufacturing

Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or process improvement. Required experience in the sewing, apparel, garment, textile, or sewn products manufacturing industry. Proven experience implementing, launching, and optimizing new production lines. Experience in line balancing, time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and process optimization. Experience leading continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction. Technical Knowledge Lean Manufacturing. Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and continuous improvement methodologies. Production line balancing. Time and motion studies. Productivity and efficiency metrics. Root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies. Process standardization and documentation. Language: Intermediate to advanced English, including reading, writing, and professional communication skills. Software & Tools Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Seat Trim / Installation Engineer

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field 3–5+ years of experience in automotive seating systems (OEM or Tier 1) Strong understanding of: Seat trim systems (mechanical, electrical, and integration aspects) Leather seat cover installation and performance Attachment methods (hog rings, J-clips, listing wires, retainers, etc.) Fit & finish and craftsmanship standards Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data Experience supporting prototype builds and production launches Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Effective communication skills with ability to interface directly with OEM customers English proficiency (technical communication required) Willingness to travel (~20%) Valid visa required Preferred Qualifications Experience with interior systems fitment and validation Familiarity with DFMEA, GD&T, APQP, PPAP Experience with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX ) Background in craftsmanship evaluation and appearance quality Knowledge of automotive safety requirements related to seating systems Hands-on involvement in vehicle launches or pilot builds Work Environment & Mobility Hybrid exposure to manufacturing plants, prototype builds, and customer sites Collaboration with U.S.-based engineering and customer teams Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on, technically strong engineer who thrives in dynamic environments where design meets execution.
