Comprador MRO

We are looking for an operational-analytical MRO Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role managing high-volume purchases of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials. You will interact daily with Maintenance and Production teams, and your key strength will be the ability to balance urgency against cost—minimizing downtime while optimizing total cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end MRO purchasing (spare parts, tools, consumables, services) from requisition to invoice, prioritizing emergency orders to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Analyze urgent requirements to balance response time vs. cost, evaluating local alternatives, existing inventory, and expedited shipping.
• Partner with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering to understand needs, prioritize critical purchases, and communicate lead times and supplier updates.
• Manage supplier relationships and develop local sourcing alternatives to reduce lead times and mitigate risks.
• Maintain SAP records (Purchasing Info Records) for high-runner parts with 100% accuracy.
• Meet KPIs: 95% material availability, PO cycle time, and compliance (REPSE, import regulations).
• Manage obsolescence and resolve discrepancies using root cause analysis.
