Engineer II will work closely with Materials, Engineering and Operations to support system validation, training development, and process standardization. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate engineering and manufacturing requirements into structured ERP system data. Experience with ERP implementations, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation is highly preferred.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the migration of engineering and manufacturing data from PeopleSoft to Oracle.
- Validate and maintain Engineering BOMs, routing structures, and item master data.
- Assist in reviewing and updating process documentation, work instructions, and procedures to align with Oracle standards.
- Partner with Materials and Engineering teams to ensure accurate inventory setup, part attributes, and cost rollups.
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and risks during system implementation and propose corrective actions.
- Assist in testing system functionality including BOM structures, ECOs, process changes, and inventory transactions.
- Support the development and delivery of training materials related to engineering documentation and system workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure smooth system adoption.
- Provide support during go-live activities and post-implementation stabilization.
- Perform data analysis to ensure system integrity and process compliance.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Experiencia y requisitos
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or ERP system support roles.
- Experience working with ERP systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
- Ability to travel greater than 50% of the time
- Strong understanding of Engineering BOM structures, routing, and item master data.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting ERP system implementations or migrations.
- Experience in extrusion or injection molding manufacturing environments.
- Experience with Oracle Manufacturing modules.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Experience developing training materials and conducting user training sessions.
- Experience working in cross-functional project teams.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
