Sr Planner Buyer (Boulevard 2000)

The Senior Planner Buyer – Outsourced Metals is responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the timely availability of metal raw materials required for external processing operations. This role serves as the primary liaison between Production Planning, Demand Planning, Procurement, Inventory Control, and external suppliers to guarantee uninterrupted material flow, optimize inventory levels, and support on-time customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Material Planning

• Translate demand forecasts and production schedules into metal material requirements.
• Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term material plans for outsourced metal processing.
• Ensure sufficient inventory levels of raw metal materials to support production requirements while minimizing excess inventory.

Outsourced Supplier Coordination

• Plan and coordinate shipments of metal materials to external processing suppliers.
• Ensure outsourced suppliers receive required material quantities according to production schedules.
• Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, and processing performance.
• Track open orders, work-in-process inventory, and supplier commitments to ensure timely returns of processed material.

Procurement & Inventory Management

• Generate and manage purchase orders, subcontract orders, and material replenishment plans.
• Review inventory levels and consumption trends to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Analyze demand fluctuations and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular reconciliation of on-hand, in-transit, and supplier-held inventory.

Scope of Responsibility

• Own the end-to-end planning and execution process for outsourced metal materials.
• Ensure metal availability to support production schedules and customer demand requirements.
• Manage the material flow cycle from raw material receipt, shipment to external processors, processing completion, return logistics, and release to manufacturing.
