Specific Technical Requirements Required Certifications: Proven experience leading companies with VAT/IEPS Certification (A, AA, or AAA modalities) and AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) status. Customs Control Systems (Mandatory): Expert-level operation of specialized Annex 24 software. Tax & Customs Law Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Mexican Customs Law, General Customs Rules (RGCE), VAT Law, and the IMMEX Decree. KPI Matrix (Key Performance Indicators) 0% tax credits or penalties resulting from SAT or CBP tax and customs audits. 100% monthly reconciliation between physical inventory, Annex 24 software, and the SAT portal (Annex 30). Customs General Supervisor

Train and supervise customs staff within the organization, along applicable Management Team coordinating Customs and Compliance. Collaborate with internal departments (production, planning, logistics, procurement, finance) to ensure smooth customs flow and correct inventory reporting. Manage permits, licenses, and certifications necessary for import/export. Analyze customs operations data, permanently target and present objective cost improvement opportunities (duties, tariffs, taxes, benefits), and prevent unnecessary fines or delays. Develop and maintain KPIs for internal and business associates´ customs operations and report results to management. Stay updated on global trade agreements (i.e. USMCA) impacting maquiladora customs strategies. Respond to investigations from SAT, SEMAR, ANAM, or other relevant authorities. Oversees compliance for sensitive good listed under annex II of the IMMEX Decree and annex 28 of the RGCE (specifically raw steel, iron, aluminum and scrap metal) Manage the “Expansion for Sensitive Goods” authorization process Manage and secure Steel Automatic Import Notices via Secretary of Economy ensuring flawless execution under current mills certifications guidelines, mill certificates. Control strict import quotas and volume limits for steel and metal alloys to prevent exceeding authorized amounts or triggering program suspension. Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Customs Administration, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Law, or related field; a postgraduate degree is desirable. 10+ years ’ direct experience in customs, import/export, or international trade within a maquiladora or similar manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Certifications in Customs related programs. Proficient customs software (e.g., VUCEM), and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle,) Master's or doctorate preferred Management level
