Purchasing Specialist / Buyer

Researching and identifying prospective suppliers Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements Monitoring all purchase orders and maintain regular follow-up with all suppliers and vendors Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Determining opportunities to move business to preferred suppliers for improved savings and service Evaluating and driving raw material inventory reduction opportunities by collaborating with suppliers and customers in inventory programs Identifying savings opportunity at the site, implementing savings opportunities identified through cross-company and initiatives Planning and implementing validation processes for control measures Coordinates with other functional groups to ensure that planning activity results in highest possible on-time completion/delivery for customers Participates in the structure and creation of project BOMs most efficient for plant routing.
