Senior Accountant

Professional Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. More than 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing, with progressively increasing responsibility. • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and IFRS. • Good use of the English language, both verbal and written, • Dominio de MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Excel, Teams) Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. • Manage and supervise accounting staff, including task assignment and guidance. • Perform financial analysis and provide information to support decision-making. • Review and analyze financial data for discrepancies and inconsistencies. • Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for improvement. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and prepare tax returns and working documents in compliance with applicable regulations. Make sure all tax deadlines are met. • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and reporting. • Assist with internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations. • Provide support during mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration activities. • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax law regulations, assess their impact on the business, and ensure timely compliance. • Supervise and advise junior accounting staff. • They provide guidance, training, and support to develop your team members' skills and ensure that the department is running efficiently.
