Descripción y detalle de las actividades

Purpose od the Job: Ensure that imports and exports are carried out under applicable laws. Import of raw material, machinery and equipment, follow-up and logistics coordination of import and export shipments. 


Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Import and export of raw material and finished product 
  • Communication with customs agents, carriers, vendors. 
  • Using established systems and procedures, this person compiles the data and prepares the required paperwork
  • for U.S. and Mexican customs, such as invoicing shipments, calculating tariffs,
  • and processing the required paperwork. 
  • Invoice preparation.     
  • Review of pedimentos IN, RT, V1, AF, A1. 
  • Elaboration and coordination of virtual. 
  • Documentation control. 
  • Support on Control of annexes 24, 30. 
  • Knowledge of the classification of goods. 
  • Control of equipment and materials being imported/exported to/from Mexico, etc. 
  • Calculate balances within the company's maquila program by deducting customs requests. 

Experiencia y requisitos

Education: 

Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience with foreign trade, international business, logistics from a regionally accredited institution desired.​ 

Professional Competencies:

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office,
  • Annex 24 and Annex 30.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Able to take decisions based on ambiguity and lack of information. 
  • Strong project management skills - Flexible and stress-resistant.
  • Hands-on mentality and result driven.​ 

Language:

Intermediate English level​ > 60%​ 

IT skills:

Intermediate computer skills: SAP, MS Office Suite and SharePoint, TEAMS, BMS Customs Software 

Further Requirements:

  • 3 –5 years import and export compliance experience required (HTS, MX and US customs compliance regulations).
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining efficient working relationships with internal and external customers,
  • associates, departments, and other teams.
  • Accuracy and rigor, detail oriented.        
  • Results oriented.·        
  • Good writing and articulation skills.
  • Time management skills (have the ability to set priorities).

Additional Remarks:  This position works closely with other team members and may be required to perform other support activities not previously mentioned.​
